Monitoring WebsitesSite Deep Dive

Subdomains

The Subdomains section lists the subdomains detected in relation to the analyzed domain name.

With this analysis, users can view the different services and infrastructure components under the main domain.

Subdomains often represent services such as:

  • API services
  • administration panels
  • content delivery services (CDN)
  • email services
  • microservice infrastructures

WebPixie detects these subdomains using various discovery methods and presents them in a list.

Subdomain List

This section displays all detected subdomains.

Each row represents a subdomain.

Example:

api.example.com
admin.example.com
cdn.example.com
mail.example.com

This list provides an overview of the services operating under the domain.

Monitor as Site

With the "Add as Site" option next to each subdomain, users can directly add the relevant subdomain as a monitorable site.

This feature allows users to:

  • start uptime monitoring for subdomains
  • perform SSL and domain checks
  • conduct performance analyses

Importance of Subdomain Analysis

Detecting subdomains is useful for:

  • discovering infrastructure services
  • identifying forgotten or unused services
  • performing security and accessibility checks

This enables users to monitor all components of their website more comprehensively.
