Uptime Details
When a user clicks on an uptime monitor, they are directed to the monitor details screen. This screen provides detailed information about the monitored URL’s status, performance data, and check history.
On this screen, users can:
- view the overall status of the monitor
- review response time performance
- see uptime rate and outage information
- examine all check records
- view any uptime incidents that have occurred
The uptime monitor details screen generally consists of the following sections:
Performance Chart
At the top of the page, the performance chart visualizes the response times of the monitored URL over a selected time period.
With this chart, users can easily review:
- changes in response times over time
- performance fluctuations
- average performance level
The chart also displays the following performance metrics:
- minimum response time
- average response time
- maximum response time
These metrics help users understand how the site's performance changes over time.
Uptime Summary
Next to the chart, the summary section provides a quick overview of the monitor’s overall status.
This area displays information such as:
- uptime rate
- number of outages
- last check time
- next check time
- check frequency
These details make it easy to assess the current status of the monitor at a glance.
Uptime Timeline
Below the performance chart, the timeline visually displays the uptime status during the most recent check period.
Each box represents a check:
- green → service is operational
- red → service is inaccessible or returns an error
This layout makes it easy to quickly see when outages have occurred.
Uptime Records
The uptime records section lists the details of all performed checks.
For each record, the following information is displayed:
- check time
- location
- response time
- HTTP status code
- content size
- error information
Users can review the results of each check in detail through these records.
Uptime Incidents
The uptime incidents section lists any outages and errors detected during monitoring.
For each incident, the following information is provided:
- status (ongoing / resolved)
- severity
- error type
- error details
- start and end time
- duration
- recurrence count
This allows users to analyze past outages and gain deeper insights into service reliability.
Monitor Actions
At the top of the monitor details page, users can quickly perform actions on the monitor.
These actions include:
- pause
- restart
- edit
- delete
Pausing the Monitor
When a monitor is paused, WebPixie temporarily stops performing checks for the specified URL.
For paused monitors:
- no new checks are performed
- no new uptime records are created
- no new incidents are generated
This feature is especially useful for services that are consistently failing or do not need to be monitored temporarily.
Restarting the Monitor
A paused monitor can be reactivated.
When the monitor is restarted, WebPixie resumes the check operations from where it left off and monitoring continues.
Editing Monitor Settings
Users can update the monitor settings.
During editing, a screen similar to the monitor creation screen opens, allowing users to update the monitor information.
Once changes are saved, the monitor continues to be tracked with the new settings.
Deleting the Monitor
When a monitor is deleted, it is removed from the workspace.
After deletion:
- all historical records for the monitor
- uptime data
- incident records
will no longer be visible.
This action cannot be undone.
