WebPixie

Using MCP

Example prompts for your connected assistant, how it works with your workspaces, and what to check when something does not work.

Once your assistant is connected, ask in plain language. The assistant looks up the answer in your WebPixie account.

Example Prompts

Find out what happened

  • "acme.io went down this morning. What happened?"
  • "Show the open incidents on acme.io and the checks behind them."
  • "What did WebPixie's analysis find on acme.io, and what should I fix first?"

Check your sites

  • "Which of my sites have an SSL certificate that expires within 30 days?"
  • "When does the domain for shop.acme.io expire?"
  • "Which pages in my sitemap were not found by the link crawler?"

Make changes (needs read and write access)

  • "Add shop.acme.io to WebPixie with SSL and DNS monitoring."
  • "Pause the staging monitor while we deploy."
  • "Add a note to the open incident on acme.io: rolled back the deploy."

How the Assistant Works

An assistant starts by finding the workspaces you connected, then works inside the one that matches your question. If you connected more than one workspace, name the workspace in your prompt to make sure it looks in the right place.

The assistant asks WebPixie only for the fields it needs, so answers stay short. It cannot see sites or monitors you left out of the scope you approved.

If Something Does Not Work

The assistant cannot connect. Check that the address is https://app.webpixie.io/mcp. In Claude, keep Use Claude's published identity under OAuth client, because WebPixie does not support Register automatically. If your platform is not listed in Connect Your Assistant, contact us.

Sign-in works, but no workspaces appear. Access is granted through workspaces you belong to. Create or join a workspace, then connect again.

The assistant can read but cannot change anything. The connection is read-only, or your role is User. Connect again and choose read and write for the workspace, and make sure you have the Owner or Admin role there. See Access and Permissions.

The assistant cannot find a site or monitor. The connection may be narrowed to specific sites and monitors. Connect again and widen the scope.

The assistant asks you to sign in again. Connect it again from your assistant's settings.
